Katie Doyle

Katie is a Legal Director in the firm's Private Wealth and Tax team. Her clients include high net worth individuals and families, both domestic and international, whom she advises on a range of UK taxation, trust, succession planning and capacity issues. Katie regularly advises on residence and domicile issues and UK property investment by international clients. Katie also advises upon and implements lifetime tax planning strategies including the preparation of tax-efficient wills for both international and UK individuals and cross-border estate planning. She regularly works closely with Mishcon de Reya's Real Estate, Family, Immigration, Corporate and Private Wealth Disputes teams.

Katie has been recognised on numerous occasions by leading industry publications. Most recently she was shortlisted for the prestigious Spear's 500 "Tax and Trusts Lawyers" (2020) and the Citywealth 2020 Leaders' List. She has also written many published articles including for the LexisNexis Tax Journal.

Key Experience

• Working with the Corporate and Real Estate teams in providing tax advice and ownership structure options in respect of high value UK residential property purchases intended for development and consolidation, within the context of a leasehold enfranchisement.
• Advising on the tax treatment of inter-spousal transfers and the applicability of the spouse exemption to a French usufruit interest created by the Will of a non-domiciliary.
