Louise is an Of Counsel in the Employment Department. She specialises in employment law and has significant experience acting for employers and employees (particularly senior executives) across a wide range of business sectors including financial services, property, retail and technology. She has a particular interest in the healthcare sector and has experience acting for senior clinicians in disputes against NHS Trusts, NHS Improvement/England and in connection with the GMC.
Louise offers comprehensive legal advice to employers and individuals (including senior executives and LLP members) on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters including appointments and contract/handbook reviews, terminations, whistleblowing, discrimination (including sexual harassment), grievances, wrongful and unfair dismissal and redundancies. She provides strategic advice to guide her clients through difficult challenges. Louise also advises on disputes relating to restrictive covenants and breaches of confidentiality, and has experience advising on (and conducting) workplace investigations. She is regularly instructed to manage complex, high value and sensitive exits and settlement agreements.
Louise frequently represents clients in Employment Tribunal litigation and has acted on a range of claims including unfair dismissal, discrimination, harassment and whistleblowing. She is also experienced in resolving disputes via commercial and judicial mediations.
Louise's practice also spans corporate transactions including share sales, asset sales and TUPE.
Louise is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association. She invests in the future of the legal profession as a mentor in the University of Westminster Future Ready Mentoring Scheme, and was a trustee of inclusive children's theatre charity Angel Shed Theatre Company in Islington from April 2017 to December 2019.
