Personal Profile

King is an Associate in the Singapore office specialising in banking and finance. He has acted for private credit funds, financial institutions, corporate borrowers and private equity sponsors. He has experience advising clients on a wide spectrum of cross-border financing transactions ranging from traditional bank lending to leveraged and structured finance.

King is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.

Key Experience

Leveraged Finance

  • Advised a club of arrangers in relation to a facility made for the purpose of financing the take-private of Ginko International Co., Ltd. (China's leading contact lenses producer) by a buyer consortium comprising of, among others, Baring Private Equity Asia. The transaction is valued at US$976.43 million and is considered one of the largest privatisations of a listed company in the Taiwan consumer market. 
  • Advised a club of arrangers in relation to a dual-tranche USD and NTD financing for the US and Taiwan borrowers for the purposes of dividend recapitalisation to the sponsors, including KKR, and refinancing the existing facilities. 
  • Advised a club of arrangers in relation to a facility made to the borrower for the purpose of financing the US$475 million acquisition of the entire share capital of Alvogen Emerging Markets Holdings Limited, a pharmaceutical company. 
  • Advised a consortium led by Nexus Point in relation to a facility made to the borrower for the purpose of financing the US$500 million acquisition of the majority stake in Honour Lane Logistics Holdings Limited, a Hong Kong-based freight forwarder. 

Private Credit

  • Advised a private credit fund in relation to a transaction where the proceeds of the financing were used towards partial payment of an existing facility as well as financing the construction of the The Sky Taipei – the second tallest building in Taipei. 
  • Advised Hammer Capital and SeaTown Holdings in relation to a facility made to the borrower for refinancing the US$500 million bonds issued by the borrower. 

General Banking

  • Advised a club of arrangers on a HK$27.5 billion syndicated term and revolving credit facility for Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited – the largest ever in the group’s history. 
  • Acted as lender counsel on various loan transactions with blue chip companies such as CK Hutchison Holdings Limited, PCCW Limited and their respective subsidiaries.
