Kavita Lakhani

Kavita is an Associate in the Intellectual Property team.  

Kavita advises on a range of IP issues including trade marks, passing off, copyright and designs. She has experience in brand protection and enforcement across a wide range of industries, with a particular interest on brands in the retail, media, cosmetics, fashion and food and drink sectors. Kavita advises clients on brand protection strategies throughout the lifecycle of their brand, from conception up until registration and beyond.

Kavita also has in-house experience, having worked at a leading retailer.

She completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice at the University of Oxford in 2024.

Key Experience

• Assisting with worldwide clearance and filing projects and managing subsequent objections and oppositions;
• Working with a media and entertainment company in managing their worldwide trade mark portfolio and advising on enforcement matters;
• General portfolio management including advising on brand protection strategies.
