HR Foundations 2026

The HR Foundations programme is designed to equip individuals at the start of their HR careers with a thorough understanding of employment law essentials throughout the employment life cycle.  

It covers important topics such as employment status, employment contracts, family leave, sickness absence, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), immigration, grievances and dismissals and settlement agreements. 

The programme is structured as a four-part, in-person series that is interactive and includes practical examples using real-life case studies. 

When: The programme will be held on the following dates:

  • Part one: Thursday 16 April, 09:00 - 11:30
  • Part two: Thursday 23 April, 09:00 - 11:30
  • Part three: Thursday 30 April, 09:00 - 11:30 
  • Part four: Thursday 14 May, 16:30 – 18:30 (followed by nibbles and drinks)
