FT Future 25: Middle East – introducing the fast-growing businesses shaking up the Middle East

Posted on 17 September 2019

Mishcon The Leap is proud to support the FT Future 25: Middle East – a list of high-growth businesses disrupting their industries in the Middle East and providing tangible innovation. These companies come from a diverse range of sectors including healthcare, technology, infrastructure, ecommerce and transport - all of their profiles feature in a special report published on FT.com and in the Financial Times. The report also provides analysis on the region's economic environment and explores the regulatory and political challenges of running an innovative business.

Companies listed in the FT Future 25: Middle East have been selected by a panel including Andrew England, FT Middle East Editor, Mark Wembridge, FT Special Reports Commissioning Editor and Alessandra Buonfino, Head of International Business Development at Mishcon de Reya.

Based and/or founded in the Middle East regions of Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Turkey, United Arab Emirates or Yemen, these private companies highlight the entrepreneurial change that has been brought about in an area that has long been dominated by state-owned companies. These innovative entrepreneurs are disrupting their sectors and paving the way for rivals to follow suit.

Alongside the report, Mishcon de Reya reflects on the Middle East's move towards a future that is digital and entrepreneurial, as its turn to tech sets to diversify its countries' economies, featuring insight from Corporate lawyer Nadim Meer.

Alessandra Buonfino says: "As a business, we are committed to serving an international community of clients with a particular interest in the ever-developing Middle East. To see such thriving entrepreneurial activity truly changing the nature of the economy and having an impact on society has made supporting the Future 25: Middle East even more rewarding."

With a continued passion for supporting fast-growth disruptive businesses, The Leap was launched in 2015 becoming an active network for over 400 fast-growth businesses and a programme of events for founders and management, creating a community where they can share experiences and ideas on how to shape the future of their industry and society.
