Alison is Of Counsel, Knowledge Lawyer in the Residential Property team. She joined Mishcon de Reya in 2013 as a professional support lawyer, bringing with her a wealth of experience from her specialisation in estates and residential conveyancing. Alison has acted for a diverse range of clients, including landed clients, onshore and offshore companies, institutions, and charities. Her expertise covers a broad spectrum of matters, from leasehold enfranchisement and lease extension claims to providing general legal advice on leasehold and freehold matters such as restrictive covenants, easements, auction sales, and other real estate related matters.
In her current role, Alison supports the team with fee earner training, professional and practice development and ensuring the team stays abreast of new legislation. Alison also creates and updates precedents, develops risk management procedures and answers legal queries. In the current climate of constant legislative change, her work is instrumental in ensuring that the team is ready to provide advice to clients as soon as new legislation is implemented.
Alison is also a passionate advocate for technological efficiency within the legal field. She works closely with the firm's legal tech engineers to explore innovative ways to utilise existing software applications and develop new in-house applications. Alison plays a pivotal role in assessing the viability and implementation of new IT and tech such as document automation and AI. Her efforts are aimed at helping lawyers work more efficiently and effectively, leveraging technology to enhance their legal practice.
