Personal Profile

Feriha is an Associate in the Family department.

She advises and assists clients on all aspects of family law, including divorce and dissolution of civil partnerships, financial remedy proceedings, jurisdictional disputes, pre- and post-nuptial agreements; and cohabitation agreements as well as children matters. She has experience in dealing with cases with an international element including complex child abduction issues, applications to relocate a child abroad and disputes regarding child arrangements.

She is a member of Resolution, an organisation that promotes a constructive, non-confrontational approach to family law matters.

Feriha speaks Turkish.

Key Experience

  • M (A Child - Private Law Children Proceedings- Case Management- Intimate Images) [2022] EWHC 986 (Fam)- acting for Applicant father at a case management hearing in the High court where allegations  were made of serious sexual abuse and coercive control and both parties produced intimate images (videos and still) to support their cases. The Court provided guidance on the admissibility and management of intimate images within private law children proceedings.
  • M (A Child) [2021] EWHC 3225 (Fam)- acting for Respondent father in an appeal application made by the Appellant mother against a fact-finding judgment in private children law proceedings.
  • NP v DP (Hague Convention; abducting parent refusing to return) [2021] EWHC 3626 (Fam)– acting for Applicant father in an application made pursuant to the Hague Convention for the summary return of  a child to the USA.
