Minesh Patel, Amplifi

Posted on 25 March 2021

M:Tech Talks are a series of conversations with entrepreneurs, founders and influencers in the tech start-up world.

The agile nature of start-up businesses can be a blessing and a curse, particularly when faced with a global crisis such as COVID-19. Through a series of podcasts hosted by Partner and M:Tech lead Andrew Wolfin and featuring the founders of the companies on our M:Tech programme, we will explore how they have confronted these challenges and discuss their strategies for the future.

In the sixth episode, we hear from Minesh Patel, Founder of AI start-up Amplifi.

Amplifi utilises Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to make complex information such as terms & conditions and regulatory conditions easier to understand and engage with; providing banks with an intelligent audit trail for regulatory reporting, improving customer experience and mitigating against future risk.

Amplifi combines AI and ML with marketing, behavioural science and psychology frameworks, creating a dynamic process which personalises language and content based on the way a customer is engaging and understanding information. This creates a rich data set for compliance reporting and enables banks to provide a better service and duty of care to their customers.

In this podcast, Minesh discusses the opportunities out there for start-ups to collaborate with more established organisations across the ecosystem – as Amplifi have done with the FCA Digital Sandbox and LawTech Sandbox – in order to form a collective voice which can move the dial towards addressing issues such as low engagement and understanding of T&Cs.
