Responding to a GDPR complaint lodged by Mishcon de Reya, the Chair of the French data protection authority (CNIL) asked the French government to take the BO-register offline.
Previously, the European Commission had refused to act on a request for infringement proceedings against France also brought by Mishcon de Reya under Art. 258 of the EU Treaty, showing a disregard for the ruling of the European Court of Justice and setting a dangerous precedent.
