The Apprenticeship

Our Non-Legal Apprenticeship provides an insight into how the business functions operate across various areas and plays a vital role in supporting the wider firm at Mishcon. You will be based in our London office, working alongside leading lawyers and other support functions across the firm.

You will gain experience and learn new skills throughout the 18 month apprenticeship. You will be working for four days per week and spend one day studying.

What are we looking for in a candidate?

At Mishcon de Reya our early careers population are the future of our business. The rules of business and society are changing and the years to come will look nothing like the years that came before. So we need shapers. We need bold individuals who can adapt to seismic changes across the legal, technological and business spheres. We need creative thinkers who can revolutionise the way we work.

We do not have a minimum grade criteria however strong academic results are desirable. Our previous apprentices have had at least 3 A-Levels at grade BBB and 6 GCSEs at grade A*-C or equivalent. Please do not be deterred if your grades are lower than this as we are looking for more than just strong academics.

How much will I get paid?

You’ll earn a starting salary of £22,000 as well as receiving all the various benefits.

All your tuition and course material will be paid for.

Our Apprentices

Kasaneel Mcewan, Sustainability & Corporate Impact Apprentice

Renae Bromfield Duval, People Team Apprentice

Ben Filer, Accounts Payable Apprentice

Kasaneel Mcewan: Joining Mishcon de Reya as a non-legal apprentice has opened my eyes to all the aspects of working at a law firm. The support here is unmatched and my team are helpful and patient when working with me on tasks that are new to me. It has been great learning and adapting to my new responsibilities and having more control of my work. I can't wait to see the person I become once I finish this apprenticeship

Renae Bromfield Duval: Becoming an HR Apprentice at Mishcon de Reya is the best decision I have made. Despite having no HR experience, the whole team has been very supportive and welcoming. I have learnt several new skills and processes that have made me more excited about my future at the firm. I already have developed amazing friendships and I love being a part of the Mishcon family.

Ben Filer: Since joining Mishcon I have had the chance to mix with so many different people, with such a wide range of experience. Being an apprentice means I get to take on different challenges with the help of other team members. This has not only built my confidence as an apprentice but has also reinforced the team effort which goes on behind the scenes.
