Wellbeing and Benefits

Our comprehensive benefits package is designed to support the wellbeing of our people and their families and can be tailored to suit personal circumstances and lifestyles. We take a holistic approach to wellbeing and have categorised wellbeing broadly into three pillars: mental and physical, financial and social wellbeing. Mental and physical wellbeing

Our central pillar aims to build parity between mental and physical wellbeing:

  • Inclusion networks and support groups including Mishcon M:BRACE (our race equity network) Baby Loss and Fertility Support Group, Parents and Carers Network, and the Mishcon Pride Network

Social wellbeing

Social wellbeing relates to our sense of belonging, inclusion and human connection:

 

  • Sports and social clubs (including the firm band, tag rugby, creative writing and netball)
  • Give As You Earn charitable giving

  • Leisure travel insurance
  • 50 hours can be spent each year on impact or pro bono activities
  • Support and fund matching for charity challenges

Wellbeing fund

Our Wellbeing Fund can be used towards any wellbeing activities. This can include gym memberships, exercise or relaxation classes, sports and social club subscriptions, therapists, independent financial advisors.

Flexible and agile working

We are proud of our approach to flexible and agile working. Based on trust and responsibility, and subject to a set of key principles, our approach allows our people flexibility and choice over where and when they work. This is in addition to supporting more formal flexible working arrangements such as part-time, flexi-time, job shares or term time working.

Family and parental support

We are committed to creating a flexible and family-friendly environment, offering generous parental leave policies and a broad range of resources, family friendly initiatives and support developed with input from our EDI committee.

Our parental leave offering:

 

  • Enhanced parental pay of up to 26 weeks full pay for eligible employees with more than one year's service. This applies to maternity, adoption and shared parental leave
  • Shared parental leave can be taken at any time within the year following the birth or adoption of a child. Parents can take this leave at the same time as each other or at different times
  • Four weeks' paternity leave at full pay for eligible employees
  • Paid time off for adoption and antenatal appointments
  • Up to six days’ paid time off for fertility treatment and for supporting a partner undergoing fertility treatment
