Ben is an Associate in the Property Litigation Team in the Real Estate department.

He has experience of advising commercial and public sector clients across a broad range of contentious property matters. This includes landlord and tenant disputes such as lease renewals, dilapidations, forfeiture and recovery of rent and other arrears. Ben also has experience of dealing with wider contentious property issues including covenants, easements and trespass.

Ben is also a member of the Property Litigation Association.

Key Experience

Valley View Health Centre (a firm) & Ors v NHS Property Services Ltd [2022] EWHC 1393 (Ch) – part of the team acting for NHS Property Services. Resisted the Claimants ' application for declarations and successfully obtained favourable declarations as to the nature and terms of the tenancies.*
Acting for a lender securing an order for possession of a Knightsbridge town house and an £8m money judgment. Successfully resisting an application in the Court of Appeal for permission to appeal the possession order and money judgment.*
Acting for a lender in successfully challenging a borrower 's breathing space moratorium under the Debt Respite Scheme (Breathing Space Moratorium and Mental Health Crisis Moratorium) Regulations 2020 due to unfair prejudice and securing an injunction prohibiting joint borrowers from applying for successive moratoria under the Regulations.*
