We’re here on behalf of Empowered Women, which is an initiative that we’ve rolled out as part of Mishcon to really celebrate women in industry, female founders and really talk about female empowerment and how that should be an integral part of society.

We had an amazing crowd of 200 women and also allies here to listen to Cherie Blair tell her amazing story of what it’s like to be not only a lawyer but also the wife of a Prime Minister and also forging her own career as a CEO of a charity.

I mean, you know, people say how far you have come, which is true, you know, but when I think about my mum and my grandmother and I think of all the talent they had, I mean how far might they have come if they had had my opportunities.

So, we had an amazing panel who were talking about things like good community, spirit, confidence, mentorship and all those things that are really going to make our society a better place, it isn’t just about the promotion of women but it is about the promotion of an integrated society.

How is a chatbot trained? It’s trained on the legacy of the past but its mostly male dominated, so of course chatbot is sexist.

You know, people want to iterate like themselves. You employ a man that looks like you, sounds like you, goes on the same holidays, you laugh at the same things.

I think key takeaway from today, certainly from the panel sessions and from Cherie Blair’s amazing interview, was about being fearless and actually going for it and understanding the benefit of networking. We have an amazing room of people who are making connections and empowering each other to do better and integrate their businesses but I think that’s what we need to do more of, normalising the conversation.
