We are delighted to invite you to our upcoming Planning seminar, Blueprints & Bottlenecks: shaping Cambridge's future under Labour's Reforms, in-person or online.
As Cambridge continues to grow and evolve, the planning landscape is shifting rapidly. We will explore some of the most pressing issues and opportunities shaping Cambridge's future focusing on:
- the critical challenge of Infrastructure constraints, (including power and water), key factors in determining the pace and scale of development in our region;
- the role of Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPOs) and the potential for land value capture to fund vital infrastructure and unlock new sites for growth; and
- the implications of the Devolution Bill and the Planning and Infrastructure Bill, both of which promise to influence how decisions are made and delivered locally.
Our speakers Guy Kaddish of Bidwells, Victoria Hutton of 39 Essex Chambers and Anita Rivera, Nicholle Kingsley and Daniel Farrand of Mishcon de Reya, will share their insights and practical perspective on how these changes may affect planning delivery in Cambridge, and what it means for developers, local authorities, and the wider community.
