Louise is an Associate in the Data Team of the Innovation Department. She provides strategic advice to clients on all matters relating to data protection, privacy and cyber security.
Louise advises clients across a number of sectors, but in particular, those in the technology, retail and leisure, real estate, education, life sciences, recruitment, marketing, and entertainment sectors. While she mainly works on transactional and advisory matters, Louise also has experience assisting in a number of disputes ranging from Tribunal and County Court claims to disputes at the High Court
Louise has a particular interest in Artificial Intelligence with a focus on facial recognition, having completed her graduate dissertation on the data protection and privacy issues that arise through its use.
She has contributed to a variety of pro bono and charity projects over the years, including acting as a mentor for students through the Women and Law Society. In addition, Louise advocates for disability and inclusion within the firm as part of the Disability and Inclusion Group. She also participates in a variety of schemes supporting Neurodiversity in the legal industry.
Prior to joining Mishcon as a trainee, Louise worked as paralegal in the city. She gained experience working in a variety of sectors before qualifying as a solicitor, including: Betting & Gaming, Banking & Finance, Estate Planning, Real Estate Litigation and Intellectual Property (brand management and disputes). Louise also completed a secondment during her training contract at Revantage Global Services UK (part of the Blackstone Group), where she supported the in-house legal team.
