Daniel Naftalin - Mishcon de Reya

We start this edition by focusing on investigations. Following the allegations of bullying, sexism and racism within the Welsh Rugby Union, our Workplace Investigations team considers the challenges of investigating an organisation's culture. Meanwhile, our Private Commercial Litigation team sets out key "dos and don'ts" specifically for directors who find themselves responsible for instituting and/or overseeing investigations.

On a more cautionary note, we then discuss recent sanctions issued by the FCA against Senior Executives, including Decision Notices against Metro Bank employees for publishing inaccurate information; a Notice of Censure against a former CEO of Sonali Bank; and a Final Notice against one individual following his conviction for serious violent offences.

Our Immigration team explains the options available for Senior Executives thinking of relocating to the UK.

Finally, we end with two reasons to celebrate. First is the incredible achievement of our Bribery & Corruption team who, following a 15-week trial, secured the acquittal of a Senior Executive accused of bribery by the SFO. And as part of our Women in Wealth initiative, we sat down with Rebecca McMurray, Director of Development at the National Philanthropic Trust, to discuss the growing influence of female givers in philanthropy.
