Nurturing talent is good for society and for business because diversity of background ensures diversity of thinking. We want young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to enjoy the support that can develop their skills for the future. We work with our charity partners to create these opportunities and through our apprenticeship scheme create career-defining job opportunities within our business and beyond.
Social Mobility Business Partnership
We are one of ten founding members of the Social Mobility Business Partnership (SMBP), a unique and award-winning social mobility programme. The SMBP promotes social mobility in business, with a focus on the legal and accountancy professions. By bringing together professional bodies, social mobility experts, law and accountancy firms, commercial businesses and sports clubs, it creates and delivers insight and skills programmes for Year 12 students around the UK.
Holborn Community Association
The Association has been a vital part of our local community for over 30 years. Based across three centres, it runs a range of sport, play, art and learning activities for all ages. These include free family drop-in sessions; taekwondo for children; table tennis for adults; day care for the elderly and vulnerable; and courses in film making and pottery.
Oasis Hub Waterloo – Elevate Programme
Oasis Youth Support offers personalised and transformative support services for 11 to 18 year-olds. As part of its Elevate Programme our volunteers meet with students from local secondary schools every week to provide mentoring, guidance and support.
We also encourage everyone at the Firm to support and fundraise for a number of causes every year:
Our Discretionary Fund encourages people across the Firm to nominate UK registered charities for assistance. In this way we support over 50 charities each year.
We support individual staff fundraising efforts by matching sponsorship raised from events and challenges they undertake.
