Simon is the firm's Chief Information Officer (CIO). Throughout his career in both the public and private sector, he has been able to combine technical knowledge with an understanding of business management in order to deliver significant changes to working practices, business efficiency, profitability and customer service.
Prior to joining Mishcon, Simon spent 14 years as the IT Director at SJ Berwin LLP where, as a member of the firm's London and International Management Committees, he led a major transformation of their technology; most recently overseeing the integration with King & Wood Mallesons. Before that, Simon spent 9 years as head of IT at law firm Wilde Sapte and began his career working in a range of technical and analytical roles within the public sector, including at the London Fire Brigade and the Design Council.
Simon has qualifications in both Political Science and Computer Science and is the author of a book called "Computers – Who Needs Them". He was voted Legal IT Director of the Year in 2006, won Technology Implementation of the Year in 2007, won the Knowlist award for Knowledge Management Solution of the Year in 2011 and was the Chair of the Legal Week Strategic Technology Forum in 2012.
