Personal Profile

Jon is a Senior Data Protection Specialist (non-lawyer) in the Innovation Department.

With more than 15 years' experience, he advises clients across the whole of the Firm's practice areas on data protection issues, whether that be companies seeking compliance advice, assistance with data subject requests or regulatory investigations, or private clients wishing to exercise their rights. He is able to draw on practical experience, having previously been Data Protection Officer for a critical national infrastructure organisation. He also advises clients on making and responding to Freedom of Information Act requests.

Jon is recognised as an innovative thinker, especially on the subject of data litigation, and is involved in the Firm's work in Politics and Law and Mishcon Purpose.

Jon is long-standing chair of the National Association of Data Protection and Freedom of Information Officers (NADPO). He is regularly sought for comment by specialist and national media, writes extensively on data protection matters, and is recognised in Legal 500 as a "Rising Star" in the Data Protection, Privacy and Cybersecurity category.
