Ray is a Partner in the Intellectual Property Group and has over 35 years' experience of Intellectual Property law.

Ray specialises in the protection, exploitation and enforcement of intellectual property, including: copyright and database rights; designs; trademarks and passing off; patents; confidential information; and trade secrets.

He regularly advises high-profile rights owners with significant intellectual property portfolios across a range of sectors, including: communications and technology; media and entertainment; retail; betting and gaming; food and drink; life sciences and healthcare; and toys, including electronic games.

He is an acknowledged trade mark specialist and is recognised for his expertise across the international trade mark community. Chambers and Partners refer to him as "highly experienced" and "responsive, strategic and commercially aware".

Ray is also a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and Marques.

  • Advising a range of clients including Ralph Lauren, Bet365, Nintendo, Leapfrog Entertainment, Sanofi and others on a range of issues concerned with the protection, enforcement and exploitation of their various IP rights.
