Maria is an Associate in Contentious Regulatory and Enforcement, part of the Dispute Resolution department. She has experience acting for both individual and corporate clients dealing with both contentious and non-contentious regulatory issues, as well as commercial litigation.
She has particular experience of FCA Enforcement investigations, advising individuals and firms at risk of, or under, regulatory investigation by the FCA for alleged misconduct or rule breaches. Her experience includes cases concerning market abuse, allegations of a lack of integrity and internal investigations.
Maria also has significant experience in the education sector, advising educational institutions and students and families on a range of issues including examination misconduct, complaints and safeguarding.
Maria is a governor of the Primary Advantage Federation and a former teacher.
