Danielle is an Associate within the Competition team in the firm's Dispute Resolution department.

She acts for claimants and defendants across a range of commercial disputes with an element of UK and/or EU Competition Law. Danielle has advised clients in leading competition damages claims in the English High Court, Court of Appeal and the Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT).

Danielle is currently advising the vendor of a pharmaceutical company in relation to a breach of competition law warranty claim in the Commercial Court arising out of CMA investigations into a possible abuse of dominant position and restrictive agreements by the target company.

Key Experience

  • Advising the vendor of a pharmaceutical company in relation to a breach of competition law warranty claim in the Commercial Court arising out of CMA investigations into a possible abuse of dominant position and restrictive agreements by the target company.
  • Advising Microsoft in relation to its claim against various manufacturers of lithium batteries in the UK High Court and before and arbitral tribunal for breach of EU and various domestic competition laws.
  • Advising Sainsbury's Supermarkets Ltd in relation to its claim against MasterCard in the Court of Appeal and Competition Appeal Tribunal that MasterCard has illegally fixed the default multilateral interchange fee between issuing and acquiring banks. Successfully obtaining permission to appeal to the Supreme Court.
  • Representing MediaSaturn Holdings GmbH in its damages claims in relation to the CRT Cartel in the English Court, including defending a strike out application and other jurisdictional challenges.
  • Various cartel damages claims against Visa and MasterCard.
