Morag is an associate within the Dispute Resolution team and an employed barrister. She has a broad practice which includes advisory work and litigation in all areas of revenue law. Morag has a particular knowledge and interest in investigations and litigation concerning tax avoidance and statutory interpretation.
Acting for corporates, partnerships and high net worth individuals on a number of direct and indirect tax matters, Morag has considerable experience representing clients in all aspects of tax risk and tax disputes, including alternative dispute resolution, settlement opportunities and appeals to the Tax Tribunals and the higher courts.
Morag was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2009 and as a barrister has rights of audience before all courts and tribunals in England and Wales. In independent practice she both defended and prosecuted in a wide variety of criminal cases and has experience of fraud, white collar defence and serious/complex crime.
