Kate is a Legal Director and head of knowledge management for the Corporate Department. She is a skilled corporate lawyer with over 20 years' experience advising on M&A, private equity, joint ventures, company law and other business law and regulation. She advises, writes and lectures on corporate governance for private and quoted companies and is the corporate governance contributor to the Jordan Publishing Company Administration and Governance Set (publication July 2019).
Kate leads on knowledge initiatives that put our expertise, our people and a client focussed product at the heart of what we do. Her role encompasses mentoring, training and acting as in house counsel to the lawyers. She brings them the cutting edge learning and resources they need to advise the firm's diverse range of UK and international businesses, wealth owners and deal maker clients.
Authoring, maintaining and engineering sophisticated suites of legal documents using automation software to promote the quality of the firm's work; reforming the way lawyers scope, budget, manage and report to clients on their matters, including on legal spend; and promoting innovation around learning for the Mishcon Academy through greater use of technology are some of the projects Kate has led on.
Having worked with successful growing legal tech businesses, Kate has been a judge on the MdR LAB, Mishcon de Reya's programme for tech start-ups in the legal space. She is a regional non-executive director of REAch2, a successful Academy Trust which operates primary schools across the country.
