Jamie is an Associate in the Employment department.
He advises employers and employees on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious employment law including the negotiation of employment contracts, unfair dismissal, discrimination and equal pay, whistleblowing, redundancies, restrictive covenants, bonus and commission arrangements, terminations and settlement negotiations as well as day-to-day HR issues and disciplinary and grievance investigations.
He has experience of both High Court and Employment Tribunal litigation acting for individuals and employers across various business sectors including financial services and insurance, technology, advertising and retail and energy.
Jamie is also a member of the Employer Lawyers Association.

Advising employers across all industries on conducting dismissals, managing performance, sickness absence and disciplinary and grievance procedures.
- Representing employer clients in the Employment Tribunal defending claims brought by current and former employees involving various issues including unfair dismissal, discrimination and whistleblowing and theft of confidential information.
- Advising foreign companies and start-ups on the HR practicalities of hiring staff, regularly drafting, reviewing and negotiating service agreements and advising on the enforceability of post-termination restrictions.
- Acted in a complex equal pay, sex and maternity discrimination claim in the Employment Tribunal on behalf of a senior salesperson against a global tech firm.
- Acted in a complex disability discrimination claim in the Employment Tribunal on behalf of the former Global Head of Compliance against an Asset Management firm.

Advising incoming and outgoing senior executives on their contractual arrangements and severance packages.

Experience in liaising with financial crime and financial regulatory lawyers on senior exits with cross-jurisdictional elements.
