Hugo is a Partner in the Innovation department and part of the Technology Transactions Group.
Hugo has experience of negotiating complex, and often international, technology transactions with a particular focus on FinTech. Hugo generally advises and supports clients who are technology suppliers provisioning their products and services to highly regulated financial institutions (including Tier 1 Global Banks to Hedge Funds and Insurance Brokers).
Hugo supports and assists his clients wherever their transactions may be – and regularly deals with US, European, South African, Japanese and Australasian financial institutions. Hugo works in tandem with, and as an extension to, his clients' internal stakeholders from C-Suite, Sales, Legal and Technical departments to provide pragmatic, timely and focussed support, and is a trusted advisor relied upon by clients across transactions.
Hugo's experience on technology and outsourcing transactions includes handling large scale, complex outsourcings, software development, licensing and maintenance, SaaS and PaaS transactions and contracts for cloud services.
Hugo is adept at making the complex simple and finding practical solutions to the complexities of a rapidly evolving technology landscape.
