Fred is an Associate in the Property Litigation team.
He has broad experience dealing with disputes in relation to commercial and residential real estate, and has advised on contentious matters concerning development, rights to light, property related insolvency and commercial asset management (e.g., arrears recovery, dilapidations disputes, forfeiture, and lease renewals).
Fred works closely with clients to protect their property interests and is equally at home safeguarding the rights of commercial landlords as he is corporate occupiers and private individuals.
Fred is also a member of the Property Litigation Association.
Key Experience
- Acting for a prominent multinational retailer on all contentious matters relating to their UK property portfolio
- Working with developers and landowners to conduct a comprehensive review of rights to light infringements caused by a major central London development
- Acting for a historic London estate on a piece of rent review litigation which raised complex issues surrounding estoppel and mistake
- Working on a case in the Court of Appeal which dealt with whether the benefit of gaining greater security over a lease could constitute an asset sufficient to found a claim in knowing receipt
