Emmy is a Managing Associate, Trade Mark Attorney in the Intellectual Property Department.

Emmy has over 10 years of experience in the field of brand protection and specialises in the clearance and protection of trade marks and designs, handling portfolios in the UK, EU and worldwide. She also provides strategic advice to clients looking to develop, expand, maintain and enforce their rights and has acted in many contentious proceedings at the UKIPO and EUIPO. Emmy has advised a number of household names on matters such as certification marks, product packaging protection and company and domain name watching and enforcement. She has particular experience with clients in the fashion, technology and media sectors.

Emmy qualified as a Chartered Trade Mark Attorney in 2008 and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys. She is a member of INTA's Harmonization of Trademark Law and Practices Committee and regularly advises at CITMA/UKIPO trade mark clinics. She was recognised by Who's Who Legal Trademarks 2015 and 2016 and WTR 1000 World's Leading Trademark Professionals 2017.

Emmy recently co-authored the chapter on "How online businesses can get protection and what can be protected” in Brand Protection Online: A Practical Guide to Protection from Online Infringement  (Globe 2017) and co-authored INTA’s online country guide on “Trademark Cancellations: Trademark Practices and Procedures” for the EU (2017).
