Adis is an Associate in the Immigration department.
Working primarily on human rights and asylum claims, Adis has experience in assisting and advising on immigration applications where criminal and extradition proceedings are used as a mechanism for political persecution. Adis also assists with a range of other UK immigration matters and applications, including Indefinite Leave to Remain and naturalisation applications.
Adis is a member of our cross-departmental Politics and Law group thanks to his involvement in international protection cases for those who are politically persecuted.
Adis is also a leading member of Mishcon's Climate Migration Project, designed to raise awareness and provide impetus to the global conversation surrounding climate migration. Adis' work in this field has included exploring legal solutions, working with relevant stakeholders and representing the Project at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow in 2021.
- Working with high profile and high net worth individuals on complex immigration matters, including successful grants of leave for individuals with politically motivated charges against them in their home country.
- Assisting high net worth individuals, their families and staff with tailored immigration solutions.
- Assisting in a successful judicial review on behalf of the Project for the Registration of Children as British Citizens, to challenge the profit-making element of fees for children to register as British.
