Nicola is an Managing Associate in the Tax Group in Mishcon Private.
Her broad practice areas combine advising on both corporate tax and personal tax matters for individuals, families, trusts companies and other legal entities, whether based in the UK or overseas.
On the Private Client side, Nicola advises on estate planning, tax residence, domicile, the remittance basis, sales and acquisitions. On the Corporate tax side, she has experience of advising on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, corporate financings, and the tax efficient holding, acquisition and disposal of business assets and real estate.
Owing to her hybrid knowledge of both personal and corporate tax, Nicola regularly advises owner managers, companies and individuals in respect of their corporate holdings. Nicola also advises clients with business interests and personal wealth in the US and the UK as part of the US/UK Tax and Wealth Planning team.
Nicola also has experience in advising on VAT and customs issues for import and exports of art and other luxury goods. In addition, Nicola has a keen interest in employment taxes and the taxation of property investment structures.
Nicola was named as a "Rising Star" by the Legal 500 in 2022, 2023 and 2024 and has been ranked as a "key lawyer" in the Legal 500 in both 2021 and 2022, for which clients have referred to her as "clearly bright, energetic in style and highly personable" and " highly approachable, knowledgeable and keenly interested in her areas of tax expertise".
