Adam is a Managing Associate in the Employment team, specialising in supporting innovative, disruptive, and rapidly accelerating businesses across UK and international contentious and non-contentious employment matters.

Adam has particular expertise in supporting investment readiness, assisting share and asset transactions, advising on TUPE regulations, navigating employment status and IR35 matters, project managing international hires, terminations, and employer of record matters, and managing complex employment litigation. He is highly effective at strategic exits and negotiating settlements.

Adam regularly manages high-stakes employment tribunal claims, including whistleblowing dismissal and detriment, unfair dismissal, discrimination, and harassment matters, often for clients facing significant reputational risk. Adam also advises on employment issues within the context of commercial disputes, including director/shareholder disputes, consultant terminations, and team move matters.

Adam works extensively with clients in the innovation and technology sectors, news media and digital marketing businesses, and game development and esports companies, to whom he provides commercially focused advice tailored to the unique challenges these sectors face.

Beyond his client-facing work, Adam regularly presents on the legal considerations of emerging and disruptive industries, informed by his work and personal interest in technology. Recent engagements include presenting on innovative workplace culture, AI in the workplace, employment in esports, and leadership exits.

  • Supporting million-billion-pound acquisitions in the healthcare and social care sectors by way of due diligence support, advising on TUPE application, and negotiating leadership service, settlement, and consultancy agreements
  • Defending a late-stage tech start up following a founder exit in respect of Employment Tribunal proceedings, restrictive covenants, director duties, shareholder prejudice, and corporate governance
  • Representing an employer in the Supreme Court on the correct legal test for detriment in the Part Time Workers (Less Favourable Treatment) Regulations (Augustine v Data Cars Limited [2026])
  • Acting for a household news media outlet, including in relation to complex TUPE transfers and Tribunal claims
