Tim's work frequently involves dealing with cases discreetly, before they develop to a stage that would be damaging to clients' interests.
Tim has had responsibility for the conduct of a range of serious and high profile matters including:
- Liaison and negotiation with the authorities in other jurisdictions including cases with joint investigation teams
- Organised crime cases
- Complex international fraud and money laundering cases
- Cases of alleged misconduct by police officers and other public officials
- Complex immigration and human trafficking cases
- Cases involving civil and public law proceedings
As Legal Advisor to the Director of Public Prosecutions he dealt with a range of high profile and sensitive matters, including:
- Appearing before a House of Lords Select Committee
- Making recommendations for changes to CPS policy, in light of judicial calls to the DPP to do so
- Advising on intervention in private prosecutions
- Domestic extremism
- Serious fraud alleged in relation to a government contract
