Sally is a Partner in our Intellectual Property team and leads the Brands group.
She specialises in brand protection strategies, particularly in clearance, monitoring, enforcement, and trade mark and design filing. Sally provides holistic advice to brand owners at every stage of the lifecycle, from creation to expansion, investment, and exit.
Sally is recommended as an IP lawyer by Chambers, Legal 500, World Trademark Review 1000, and IP Stars, and by Legal 500 as a leading individual in retail and intellectual property. She has been ranked in Managing IP's global index of the Top 250 Women in IP since its inception. As co-head of our Retail group, Sally also leads our patronage of the British Fashion Council and plays a key role in supporting Walpole's Brands of Tomorrow programme. Outside of Mishcon de Reya, Sally is an active member of Marques' Design Team and INTA's Design Committee.
Prior to qualifying as a lawyer, Sally was a brand manager for multinational brands, working on new product development, advertising, promotion, PR, packaging, and sponsorship. Her insights are frequently sought by the press and broadcast media for commentary on brand protection developments, and she is the editor of Brand Matters, our quarterly publication for brand owners and creators.
