Oliver is an Associate in Commercial, Technology and Sport team within the Innovation Department.
Oliver has experience advising clients across a variety of sectors, focusing particularly on sport, entertainment, retail and technology. He is a member of the Sports and Retail sector Groups.
He regularly advises clients on a broad range of commercial and technology contracts, such as distribution, licensing, supply, sponsorship, outsourcing and SaaS agreement.
Oliver has a particular expertise in advising sports organisations (including football clubs), athletes (including footballers, F1 and Formula E drivers) as well as agents, intermediaries and sports tech businesses. In particular, he has recent experience in advising on financial regulation in football, football transfers and playing contracts as well as sponsorship and brand ambassador arrangements. Oliver also assists with administering the Mishcon Sports Law Academy.
Prior to joining Mishcon, Oliver previously worked within the commercial legal department for Warner Bros, advising the business on a range of commercial and technology matters (including in relation to the Harry Potter Studio Tour).
Through Mishcon de Reya's membership of Sport Resolutions Pro Bono Service, Oliver assists individuals without charge before Sport Resolutions panels and other NGB tribunals.
Oliver is recognised as a key lawyer for Sports in the Legal 500.

- Advised a number of well-known individual athletes on their sponsorship and contractual-related issues (including footballers as well as F1 and Formula E drivers).

- Advised a client on its location hire agreements with two major US film studios.
- Advised a solo musician on their contractual arrangements with their producer, manager and distributor.
- Worked with a number of rapidly expanding sports technology and other SaaS clients on a range of agreements and contractual law issues.
- Advised a well-known supermarket on a European-wide licensing agreement with a major US film studio.
- Provided advice to a high-profile fast food franchise in relation to developing its remote ordering application.
