Partner

Profile

Idina is a Partner and leading landed estates lawyer in Mishcon Private, specialising in rural property, country house acquisitions and super-prime residential matters predominantly for ultra-high-net-worth clients. She advises UHNW individuals, family offices and international buyers on property matters where speed, structuring, confidentiality, and execution are critical, with particular expertise acting on trophy asset purchases under tight timeframes. Acting as a single trusted point of contact, she is known for bringing momentum, strategy, and creative problem solving to transactions.

Idina is a regular point of contact for international buyers, particularly from the US and Middle East, seeking structuring advice that reflects their tax and immigration position, ownership objectives and long-term plans for country house and estate acquisitions.

Beyond the initial acquisition, Idina is retained by owners of some of the country's largest estates as their long-term legal adviser. She advises on the ownership and use of estate property for liability, tax, succession, and commercial goals, often involving leases, partnership and LLP arrangements, and trusts. She brings Mishcon’s wider expertise - whether in tax, art, brand, litigation, employment, H&S, immigration, innovation, sustainability or philanthropic matters - together for clients, ensuring advice is joined up and commercially grounded. She has experience with complex residential, agricultural, sporting, viticultural, equestrian and commercial assets.

Idina is ranked Band 1 for Landed Estates in the Chambers High Net Worth Guide, and she has been recognised as a Top Recommended Landed Estate Lawyer by Spear's. Chambers notes that "Idina Glyn is an excellent ally in any complex property transaction." The Legal 500 notes that "She is a valued adviser in any transaction. Her eye for detail, strategic high-level approach and client management skills are invaluable."

Idina regularly comments publicly on trends across the prime country house market, including buyer behaviour, cross-border demand and the impact of tax policy changes on UHNW purchasing decisions.
