Elise is an Associate in the Intellectual Property team.

She advises and acts for clients across a broad range of contentious and advisory intellectual property matters, including copyright, trade marks, passing off, designs, patents, confidential information and related commercial disputes. Elise has represented leading clients across the media, entertainment, fashion, technology and retail industries.

She has worked on significant litigation before superior courts and has experience advising on commercially sensitive intellectual property issues with cross-border dimensions. Elise combines technical expertise with a pragmatic, commercially focused approach, working with clients to navigate complex intellectual property issues.

• Acted for Australia's industry body for commercial radio broadcasters in copyright rate setting proceedings concerning the broadcast of sound recordings on commercial radio
• Advised a global online fashion retailer on complex cross-border copyright and design issues pertaining to clothing
• Acted for a collecting society representing songwriters, composers and music publishers in copyright rate setting proceedings concerning the reproduction and communication of musical and associated literary works on subscription video-on-demand platforms
• Acted for a multinational technology conglomerate in proceedings involving claims of defamation and infringement of copyright, moral rights and trade marks arising from social media posts
• Acted for a leading Australian industry superannuation fund against a blockchain mining company in proceedings involving alleged trade mark infringement, passing off and breach of contract
• Advised a healthcare client on copyright issues arising from the use of an enterprise resource planning software system
