Astrid focuses her practice on private and public M&A, capital markets, and corporate transactions in the Asia Pacific region.
Astrid represents private equity sponsors, multinational corporations, corporate issuers, and financial institutions in a wide variety of cross-border M&A and capital market transactions such as initial public offerings (IPOs) and tender offers. She also frequently advises clients on reorganisations, strategic investments, joint ventures, exits, and disposals. Her experience ranges broadly across various industries, including consumer goods, education, and healthcare.
Having worked in Singapore and Jakarta, Indonesia, Astrid is dual qualified to practise in England and Wales as well as Indonesia.

- Advised CVC Capital Partners on its investment in SOHO Group, a leading pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing and distribution group in Indonesia.
- Advised CVC Capital Partners on a significant pre-IPO investment, and subsequent sale of shares, in Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya, an Indonesian consumer goods company.
- Advised Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya on the formation of a joint venture with Hormel Foods, a global Fortune 500 branded food-manufacturing company.
- Advised a private equity firm on its investment in a leading dairy manufacturing company in Indonesia.
- Advised Diamond Food Indonesia, one of Indonesia’s largest food and beverage distributors, on its IPO and the founders’ sale of shares.
- Advised a private equity firm on its investment in a Singapore-based operator and manager of private K-12 schools across South-East and South Asia.
- Advised Bangkok Bank Public Company Limited on its US$2.3 billion acquisition of a majority shareholding in Bank Permata, a major commercial bank in Indonesia, from Standard Chartered Bank and Astra International.
- Advised Ooredoo Group, a leading international telecommunications company, on the proposed merger of its Indonesian-listed subsidiary PT Indosat with PT Hutchison 3 Indonesia, an Indonesian subsidiary of CK Hutchison Holdings Ltd.
- Advised ESR, a pan-Asia logistics real estate developer and fund manager, on its various real estate investments in Japan.
- Advised a French multinational advertising and public relations company on its buy-out of a leading consulting and advertising company in Sri Lanka.
