Chief Strategy Officer Nick West was interviewed by the Law Society Gazette discussing the advancements of its data science services. Over the past three years the data science team has been growing, with primary advancements including using AI techniques to extract useful knowledge from within Mishcon systems.
Eventually the service aims to generate knowledge from public data about the justice system. Such work will have to overcome judicial suspicion, as well as fears about potential impacts on privacy.
Nick said; ‘"If and when we get good at it, of course we are going to try to predict outcomes. But there are many other interesting things to do before we get there."
