Greener Litigation, an initiative involving legal disputes professionals and organisations actively committed to reducing the environmental impact of dispute resolution and litigation conducted in the courts of England and Wales, has been featured in a piece in Law360.
The articles examine the aims of Greener Litigation, its growth to over 90 members and associate members, the progress it has made so far in minimising the environmental impact of litigation and its plans for future expansion.
The piece also features comments from Olivia Wybraniec, a Managing Associate Barrister in the Finance and Banking Disputes Group at Mishcon de Reya, and member of the Greener Litigation steering committee.
Olivia commented: "We are all aware that large commercial trials have the potential to generate huge amounts of paper that is not necessarily used and goes straight into the confidential waste. Even if you are adversaries in litigation, if your organization is a signatory of the Greener Litigation pledge, there is an expectation that [both parties] will cooperate on ensuring a case is conducted in the most sustainable way possible."
