Mishcon de Reya announces all-female Partner promotions

Mishcon de Reya has announced three Partner promotions this year, with a further nine lawyers rising to the role of Legal Director.

The all-female Partner promotions are:

Liz Ellen

Liz is the head of the Sports Group. Her practice is solely focused on sport, and her in-depth knowledge means that she is always able to provide her clients with the clear and decisive advice they require. She finds innovative solutions to complex issues and is not only a specialist litigator but also a trusted advisor to clubs, athletes, rights holders, and governing bodies, always understanding how their legal situations fit within their public profile and wider business needs.

Emma Macintyre

Emma is a litigator in Mishcon's Real Estate practice. She has extensive experience in a wide variety of property matters dealing with landlord/tenant and wider property issues and has worked with significant property owning companies, large corporate bodies, retailers and high net worth individuals.

Victoria Pigott

Victoria is a commercial litigator with considerable trial experience. She advises on complex commercial cases, including director and shareholder disputes as well as partnership issues and general contractual matters. Victoria began her career as a barrister, specialising in prosecuting and defending white collar crime. She continues to represent clients under investigation by criminal or regulatory bodies, as well as families and "interested persons" at inquests.

The following were promoted to Legal Director:

Julie Bond: Julie a member of Mishcon's Real Estate Department, specialising in all aspects of residential property including lease extensions and landlord and tenant work.
Laura Chandler: Laura works in the Firm's Corporate Department. She is experienced in corporate finance, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, re-organisations and shareholders’ agreements and has acted for both public and private companies.
Matt Hancock: Matt is a commercial litigator specialising in disputes relating to financial services and financial products. His casework is split between general commercial and corporate dispute resolution and acting as defence in regulatory proceedings. He is also qualified to practice in Scotland and New York.
Nick Harris: Nick works in Mishcon's Real Estate Department, specialising in commercial real estate with a particular emphasis on development work and high value investment sales and acquisitions. Nick joined Mishcon de Reya in December 2012 from the London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Limited (LOCOG).
Allison Keyse: Allison works in the Corporate Department, focusing on mergers & acquisitions and private equity related transactions. She has extensive experience of acting for owner-managers, management teams, institutions and investee companies.
Fiona Laurence: Fiona is a commercial litigator with broad experience gained both in private practice and in-house in a major UK public authority. In her former role as Head of Law at the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority, Fiona was involved in several sensitive and high profile matters including the Marchioness and Ladbroke Grove Public Inquiries.
Claire Manches: Claire works in Mishcon's Real Estate Department, specialising in a range of transactional commercial property matters. She has expertise in dealing with acquisitions and disposals involving private companies, unit trusts, partnership interests and joint ventures, as well as straightforward asset sales. 
Pete Nunn: an IP lawyer, Peter is a specialist in the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights, including copyright, trade mark, passing off, design right, patent, confidential information and licensing disputes.
Emma Woollcott: Emma is a litigator in Mishcon Private. She specialises in Reputation Protection, advising individuals, companies and charities on defamation, breach of confidence, invasion of privacy, harassment and data protection concerns. Emma co-ordinates the Firm's sponsorship of Pink Law, which was highly commended in the Best New Pro Bono Activity category of the LawWorks and Attorney General Students Awards.
