Corporate Partner Angeli Arora has been selected in The Lawyer's Hot 100 2023.
The annual list recognises the successes of lawyers from in-house, private practice and the Bar, as well as those who are shaping the legal profession. Mishcon de Reya is one of the few firms to regularly feature lawyers in the annual review.
Angeli's entry emphasises the significant impact that she has made since joining the firm in 2021, as well as her focus on sustainability and strong commitment to advancing EDI efforts.
It states: "Angeli Arora made her mark in Mishcon de Reya’s corporate team last year. She seized a raft of opportunities after setting up and leading practices across Europe, Asia and Africa and has used her blank canvas to self-generate new client wins across the areas of private equity, shareholder engagement and corporate governance.
Her practice sees her get to grips with a range of mixed-value investment strategies, with a focus on sustainability and impact and purpose-led businesses that challenge the notion of pure financial shareholder value. Her work at Mishcon is for a variety of clients including family offices, private equity firms and impact investors.
As an associate, she was sent abroad to Hong Kong at Bingham McCutcheon to build up and oversee the firm’s Asia practice and was given the nod to partner at only five years post-qualified. Arora also acts as the governor of an international school in Cape Town, South Africa and as a passionate believer of equality, is also working on metrics to measure gender equality in law firms."
