In today's world of change, boards are facing ever increasing reporting requirements while simultaneously managing risks and opportunity, looking to the future, assessing how to remain competitive and reassessing their values and purpose.
As part of our Academy Bespoke offering, we regularly design and deliver thought-provoking training sessions to boards of directors on corporate governance.
Depending on the profile of your business we can train your directors either individually or as a group on topics such as:
- Purpose and ESG – Why the trend to defining your purpose and increasing focus on ESG? What does it mean for you?
- Directors' duties – the basic duties and how to navigate them in practice.
- Best practice and recent trends in governance – depending on your governance framework and reporting requirements, a session on the core principles and how market practice is evolving.
- Corporate collapses and scandals – lessons in how businesses fail.
At Mishcon de Reya, our Corporate Governance and Purpose teams regularly work across practice disciplines, engaging with our community of client companies and governance experts. We provide insight on relevant regulatory and best practice developments and, through our strong contentious, reputation, fraud and investigations practices, we have an understanding of what can go wrong and how to avoid it. Our sessions can be high level, such as those described above or, working with relevant specialists, focus into specific aspects of governance, such as ESG and management incentives, structuring and evaluating your board or methods of stakeholder engagement.
Our approach is to meet with you, to understand your business and governance journey and tailor the session to what would work best for you.
The cost for your training will depend on the number and length of the sessions and the number of participants. We always provide a fixed cost upfront to include preparation and delivery of the sessions.
