  • Would I lie to you? - A fraud mini contempt trial where you be the judge

This will be a fraud mini contempt trial exploring the English Court's draconian powers and the consequences of breaching worldwide freezing injunctions and search orders.  The audience will act as the Judge to determine the outcome.

  • Outside the clause: fraud claims beyond the arbitration agreement

Bringing together specialists in international arbitration and fraud litigation, this panel examines the difficult tactical questions that arise where fraud allegations reach beyond the parties to an arbitration agreement.  Exploring how to pursue wrongdoers inside and outside the arbitration agreement, the session will consider the perils and possibilities offered by parallel proceedings before the English courts, from the breadth of English court remedies through to the risks of anti-suit injunctions and prospect of inconsistent findings.

    Panellists:

    Date: Thursday 4 June

    Time:

    • Registration: 11:00 – 11:30
    • Session: 11:30 - 12:15

  • Sanctions at the breaking point: freeze, seize, and a fragmenting global landscape

This seminar addresses two critical challenges in contemporary sanctions law.

First, we will discuss when temporary freezing measures might cross into permanent seizure, politically or practically - a threshold question with profound implications for individuals and companies alike.

This will lead into a wider discussion of the increasingly fragmented cross-border sanctions landscape, particularly the growing divergence between UK/EU and US regimes.

As Western allies adopt potentially differing strategies, practitioners face mounting challenges navigating conflicting obligations, risks, and disputes in an unpredictable regulatory environment.

    Panellists:

    Date: Thursday 4 June

    Time:

    • Registration: 14:00 - 14:30
    • Session: 14:30 - 15:30

  • The global war for talent: balancing opportunity and risk in international employee competition disputes

The war for talent has never been more global. Employers are increasingly international in their ambitions to attract the very best. But they also face growing risks of multi-jurisdictional raids on their own workforces.  Employers must therefore be able to balance both the opportunities and dangers posed by this cross-border game of cat-and-mouse

Please join us for a fireside chat chaired by retired Lord Justice of Appeal, The Rt Hon Sir Patrick Elias, at 7pm on 4 June 2026 to explore these (and related) issues in-depth. Our panellists (Susannah Kintish, Laura Penny and Natalie Jones (Mishcon de Reya LLP), David Craig KC (Essex Court Chambers) and Jane McCafferty KC (11KBW)) have all been at the coal face of litigation in this space for many years. The session will follow a case study, examining the fall-out after one company upsets a litigious competitor by poaching a large number of its employees across multiple countries, taking members through the key legal and strategic considerations for a successful attack and defence.Panellists:

    Date: Thursday 4 June

    Times:

    • Registration: 18:30 – 19:00
    • Session: 19:00 - 20:00
    • Networking: 20:00 - 21:00
