Ralph is a Managing Associate in the Dispute Resolution Team with over six years' experience, specialising in insurance and reinsurance disputes.

He advises policyholders and reinsurers on coverage disputes across a wide range of business sectors and product lines including: Professional Indemnity; Business Interruption; D&O; Employers Liability; Credit Risk; Bankers Blanket Bond; and Product and General Liability Policies, as well as a range of more niche products. An expert on alternative modes of litigation funding, including third party funding, ATE/BTE and other insurance products and CFAs/DBAs, Ralph advises corporates, funders, insurers and individuals on alternative funding structures.

He has most reported insurance and reinsurance cases in recent years, successfully recovering over £100million for Standard Life from its PI insurers in the High Court and Court of Appeal and representing a large Japanese reinsurer in a number of international and multi-jurisdiction arbitrations concerning a $1.2bn property damage settlement following 9/11, culminating in a widely publicised case in the Court of Appeal.

Ralph won the International Insurance Law Association Europe Prize 2012 and regularly speaks at industry events.
