Krishma Sangani is a Managing Associate in the Family Department and advises on all aspects of family law. She has a great depth of experience of contentious and non-contentious family law work, and specialises in both the financial consequences of marital and relationship breakdown and children matters. Krishma has worked on various matters involving children and surrogacy, and trust issues in a family law context, and has worked for a diverse range of clients. She is able to build a meaningful and supportive relationship with clients, and also has fantastic relationships with counsel particularly at 1 Hare Court and 29 Bedford Row.
Krishma is a Law graduate of the University of Cambridge and joined Mishcon de Reya LLP in 2015.
Krishma is a member of Resolution, an organisation which believes in a constructive, non-confrontational approach to family law matters and campaigns for improvements to the family justice system.
Key Experience
- Working on several cases involving financial disclosure on divorce proceedings where family assets are held in various jurisdictions and require expert valuation;
- Preparing for and engaging in various private law Children Act proceedings relating to maintenance and capital claims on behalf of a child;
- Working on a case which determined whether relevant trust instruments containing a family's wealth allowed for a child born into that family by surrogacy to benefit under such trusts.
