Ella Kennedy

Ella is an Associate in the Commercial Litigation team, part of the wider Dispute Resolution department.

Ella has experience acting on complex, high value, and often multi-jurisdictional commercial disputes across a range of sectors, including financial services, technology and healthcare. She has acted for both Claimants and Defendants in proceedings at varying stages and across a range of Courts, including the Commercial Court, the Privy Council, the Competition Appeals Tribunal and the Community Courts.

Ella also has experience of international arbitration, group actions and competition litigation.

Key Experience

• Acting for a group of investors in claims under section 90A of, and Schedule 10A to, the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000.
• Acting for various Brazilian individuals affected by one of the largest data leaks in history against the Experian group (Various Claimants v Experian plc, Experian Limited and Serasa Finance Limited)."
• Acting for an international fintech company in an arbitration against a fund manager relating to unpaid fees and early termination.
• Acting for the Seller's Representative in respect of an earnout dispute following the sale of a private limited healthcare company.
• Acting for a former publicly listed company in a High Court trial against its former financial adviser (Moorgate Capital (Corporate Finance) Limited v BPI).
• Acting for several art galleries in disputes concerning artworks that they are alleged to have sold.
