Samir Manek appointed to Advisory Board for a Government commissioned taskforce on boosting socio-economic diversity

Posted on 10 February 2021

Samir Manek has been appointed to join the Advisory Board for a Government commissioned taskforce to boost the socio-economic diversity at senior levels in UK financial and professional services.

Commissioned by HM Treasury and the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, this taskforce has been informed by evidence from The Bridge Group to create a vision of ‘equity of progression’ – where high performance is valued over ‘fit’ and ‘polish’.

The taskforce is led by the Chair of the Social Mobility Commission, the Chief Economist of the Bank of England and the City of London Corporation. The taskforce's work will primarily be delivered by three partners: PwC, Deloitte and MyKindaFuture.
