Mishcon de Reya’s Private Equity team has advised the management team at Digital Barriers on their equity arrangements, following an investment by 3i. This is the second time Mishcon de Reya has advised management at Digital Barriers, the first being in 2017 when they secured a management buyout of the business when it was taken private by Volpi Capital, a UK private equity investor.
Headquartered in the UK with offices across the US and Europe, Digital Barriers is dedicated to creating a stronger, safer, more secure world through innovative technological solutions. Their unique video compression technology allows live streaming over low-bandwidth environments, including cellular body worn cameras, and has an ever-growing set of commercial applications.
The partnership with 3i will enable Digital Barriers to accelerate its international expansion, invest further in its unique technology, significantly grow its go-to-market capabilities to support its channel partners and pursue targeted acquisitions to build out its differentiated solution.
The team at Mishcon de Reya was led by Nadim Meer and included James Paterson, Karine Bennamara, Tina Kang, John Skoulding and Greg Campbell.
