Mishcon de Reya hires International Arbitration specialist Greg Falkof

Posted on 21 November 2022

Mishcon de Reya has announced that Greg Falkof has joined its International Arbitration team as a Partner in its London office.

He becomes the second Partner to join the International Arbitration team this year, following the hire of Alexander Slade in February, and is the 17th Partner hire of 2022 overall.

Greg specialises in the resolution of complex international infrastructure, energy, transport, engineering and construction disputes, involving both commercial arbitration and international investment arbitration. He has extensive experience of acting as counsel and advocate in institutional and ad hoc arbitrations, including under the ICSID, ICC, LCIA, CIETAC, and UNCITRAL Rules, and sits as an arbitrator appointed by leading arbitration institutions. He is currently one of the UK representatives to the ICC’s Global Commission on Arbitration and ADR.

Greg joins from Eversheds Sutherland, where he was a Partner in its London international arbitration group, having spent some years in its international disputes team in Paris. Greg is also the Co-Founder and a former Director of Delos Dispute Resolution, an independent arbitration institution, and a member of the Association of International Energy Negotiators.

Head of the International Arbitration Group, Louis Flannery KC, commented: "I’m delighted that Greg is joining the Mishcon International Arbitration team. He will add untold strength and depth to our contentious offering, particularly in the energy, infrastructure and engineering space, where his expertise is second to none. His arrival complements that of Alex Slade, making 2022 a year to remember for the group."

Greg added: "I'm excited to be joining Mishcon de Reya and its highly regarded, innovative International Arbitration team. I look forward to building trusted relations with existing and new clients and developing the firm's reputation for premium international arbitration in the energy, infrastructure and complex engineering sectors."
